Why Choose 1st Family Dental Implant Centers?
At 1st Family Dental Implant Centers, we provide customized solutions for every patient. We are also committed to serving our patients with exceptional quality of care, utilizing the highest-quality tools, techniques, products, and technology.
Dental implants are the most innovative tooth replacement option available today. They are the gold standard in dentistry.
And it’s no wonder why. Dental implants in Chicago and the Chicago suburbs can be used to restore a single missing tooth, multiple missing teeth, or even an entire arch. A single implant can be used to fill in a gap left by a missing tooth, or we can use them in conjunction with overdentures and other fixed restorative options.
Dental implants are a permanent solution, unlike other restorations used to restore missing teeth – namely, bridges and partial or full dentures.
They’re also the healthier option because they keep the jawbone strong and healthy, supporting and protecting adjacent teeth.
With proper care, you can keep your dental implants for a lifetime, whereas other restorations need repairs or replacement within five to 15 years.
If you’re ready to restore your smile, contact us today to schedule a complimentary consultation about getting new teeth in one day with our implant specialists.

What Makes a Dental Implant?
Patient education is very important to the 1st Family Dental Implant Centers team. We know that the more our patients know and understand about the dental procedures they need, the more comfortable they feel during their treatment.
When you visit any of our offices, our team is happy to provide you with as much information as you need to understand dental implants and how they work. For example, we’ll show you each component of a dental implant and how they fit together. The components include:
The Dental Crown
Dental crowns are the component that you see when you open your mouth. They look and function like natural teeth. The crown acts as a replacement tooth and securely connects to the implant abutment. A dental crown is made of porcelain, or porcelain fused to metal. Most patients prefer porcelain crowns because they ensure a natural-looking appearance. We recommend this material because it is both aesthetically pleasing and long-lasting.
The abutment connects to the implant fixture. The dental crown then fits over the abutment. Implant abutments are typically made of titanium or ceramic.
The Implant Fixture
The implant fixture is a small titanium screw that is surgically inserted into the jawbone. It is comparable to the root of a natural tooth. After osseointegration, the fixture supports the crown and ensures the ongoing health of the surrounding structures, including the jawbone.
